Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lutheran Holiday Program?
Lutheran Holiday Program is an annual outreach initiative run by a group of volunteers coordinated by Alberton Lutheran Parish. The program started in 1990, with 2021 being our 31st program. The program started with 57 children and 10 leaders in the local community centre at Jacobs Well.

Since then, we have grown and now take around 200 children with over 80 leaders and helpers and run the program at our local school LORDS. Some of our leaders have been with us for 30 years (& some for their entire lives!) and we have seen children who have come through the program, who now bring their children along every year. If you have a great story about LHP, we'd love to hear it! Go to our contact us page and drop us a line.

Our mission is to share the love of Jesus with children and their families (& leaders too!), in a fun, safe and loving environment . We strive to create a community where people of all ages can come feel like they belong. We hope you and your family will come and join us this year as we discover more about Jesus.

When is the program?
Lutheran Holiday program runs from the 20th September 2021 to the 24th September 2021.
What are the program hours?
The program runs from 9am until 1.30pm every day. We recommend getting there a bit before 9am though, as we start at 9am sharp every day! Pick up time is 1.15pm for Kindy aged children, whilst primary aged children should be picked up by 1.30pm sharp.
Where is the program?
We run the program at a local school called LORDS. It is located at 68 Mirambeena Drive, Pimpama. See the map located at the bottom of this page!
Is there a closing concert?
Due to COVID restrictions, we are unable to hold a concert this year, but we are hoping to put together something which will be available on our Facebook on the Friday night.
What ages can attend the program?
To attend the program as a student, children can be from Kindergarten age (3 years) to Grade 6 age. Kindergarten children must be toilet trained and familiar with child care.
How much does the program cost?
$100 – 1 child ($90 early bird)
$150 – 2 children ($140 early bird)
$175 – 3 or more children ($165 early bird)

This is the price for the full 5 day program. You will be asked to provide lunch for your children, due to COVID restrictions. Early bird registration closes on the 6th August 2021.
How do I know my child's place is confirmed?
Due to limited space, we can only provide confirmation once we receive payment of your fees. Once your payment has been received, we will send you a confirmation email to the email provided on the form.
How do I pay?
Payment details will be advised when we receive your registration. If you didn't receive an email, please contact us.
How can I help?
Our program is run and organised by a team of volunteers, coordinated by the Alberton Lutheran Parish and they would love your help. You can help out before the program and during the week in various ways:
  • Be A Helper. We'd love if you could spare a week (or even a day) to help out in our program. You must have a blue card (if over the age of 18 years) and attend a child safety training session. To register as a helper or find more information about applying for a blue card, click here.
  • Donate to our mission. Each year we run a session called Mission where children learn about helping others in our community and the world. To find out more about our mission this year, click here.
  • Donate materials for the program. Each year, we fill our program with lots of fun things for your children to do. As we have a small budget, we love it when people donate things that we can use during the program - whether it's a prop for our drama, something for decoration or materials for our crafts. We do our utmost to ensure donated possessions are kept in pristine condition. To see what materials we need this year, click here.
  • Pray for the program. As a community of believers, we love it when people come together and pray for our program. "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." - Ephesians 6:18
